The Most Worshipful King Solomon Grand Lodge of Ancient and Free Acceptance Masons, Scottish Rite for the State of Alabama was established in the summer of 1946, two years later on June 16, 1948 the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge was incorporated. Honorable Harris Bumpers was elected Grand Master.
